Message: Great site! It brings back a lot of memories, both good and bad. I was in 1 SSB July '86 to July '88. Rundu Sector 20 ops Hooper and Modular, a gunner on an Eland '90, seconded to 61 Meg. It's good to remember and that our mates did NOT live and die for nothing!

Message: Hey there,did my stint '84/'85. Jan intake into Army Gym Heidelberg, did basics and JL's there. Went to 2 Sigs as 2 line instructor. Did a stint underground at Rooiwal, then up to Oshakati and in command of ops ratel till uitklaar. Then did camps for three years including a stint back at Oshakati in '86' during Resolution 435..... great times. If anyone was in the same areas at the same time give us a shout. Brilliant site btw!

Message: Was in Berede 1979 - 1982 staandemag, nou versamelaar van alle SAW militaria, tans besig met Valskerm Bn en Spesmagte enige items sal waardeer word ernstig opsoek na 1 Valsk Bn stable belt. Was die beste weermag ooit mag ons dit nooit vergeet nie en ons sal die geskiedenis bewaar!

Message: Nice site! I was a Jan. '84 intake at Special forces and served at Infantry School and Oshivello as an Instructor. Spent 3 years in the SADF. As the famous song says: "Those were the best days of my life"

We were in Bravo Troop if I Could remember correctly with Corpral Bodenstein. After basics I went to 21 Field Squadron and Simon to School of Engineers In Kroonstad.
